BrownGuard 2000 wrist orthosis with thumb fixation type 03
BrownGuard 2000 wrist orthosis with thumb fixation type 03 is made of 3D spacer knit fabric. The materials used in its manufacture are non-irritating and latex-free, breathable and facilitate sweat wicking. An anatomically shaped, removable metal splint is positioned in the palm section of the orthosis, along with two smaller plastic splints on the sides of the wrist. Another anatomically shaped metal splint fixes the thumb. These splints, in combination with gentle micro hook-and-loop fasteners, enhance the support and fixation of the wrist joint and thumb.

Place the thumb stabilising orthosis on the wrist so that the support splints rest against the wrist and thumb. Tighten the orthosis using the hook-and-loop fasteners so that the pressure on the wrist and thumb is not uncomfortable. When putting on the thumb stabilising orthosis, it should not come into contact with sharp objects (e.g. jewellery) or long nails, as this may damage the orthosis. The orthosis must be stretched evenly and without folds to ensure effective pressure distribution. If you use body cosmetics, wait about 15 minutes after application before putting on the orthosis.
In case of visible mechanical damage, do not continue to use the orthosis and preferably replace it with a new one.
